The
Professional Development Partnership (PDP) is a project funded by the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention—Division of Adolescent and
School Health (CDC DASH) and is managed by Rocky
Mountain Center for Health Promotion and Education (RMC) . The purpose of the PDP is to assist CDC DASH-funded
local, state and national non-governmental organizations (SEAs,
LEAs, NGOs) in strengthening their capacity to provide professional
development that will enhance the delivery of education for reducing
risk behaviors among youth. For more information see the PDP Project

CDC DASH-funded site Professional Development Coordinators may
contact RMC for the following services:
- Technical Assistance, via phone, fax and/or email, in meeting
CDC DASH Professional Development Practices.
- Technical assistance site visits. RMC will conduct four site visits
per year. Sites will be selected by CDC DASH based on a PDP Technical Assistance Application process.
- Technical assistance examples.
- A collection of References for PD, which includes an extensive
list of Professional Development books, journal articles, websites,
and national organizations categorized by topic, author and keyword.
- A searchable Professional Development Coordinator Directory
listing LEA, SEA, and NGO PD Coordinators and searchable by site
or funding type, name, location, organization, or location.
- Networking opportunities with other Professional Development
Coordinators from CDC DASH-funded sites, including an annual
meeting for all CDC DASH-funded LEA, SEA, and NGO Professional
Development Coordinators.
